Bodies without names , 2021

shadow attacked with chisel, red earth, whitewash

traces of action

Corpos sem nomes, Bodies without names, is about the abandoned bodies, clandestinely hidden in the ground, and that were deprived of the right to be remembered and called by their names. Without a link to their names, they lost the right to inscribe them in social memory. Faced with the impossibility of having their names engraved on a tombstone, since they were not identified by the State or recognized by their families, I propose with a chisel to produce inscriptions as an act of remembering these bodies that have been suffering constant deletions and whose existence and memories are day after day denied
